CLASS C — CAUTION
Moderate-risk entities. May cause mental strain, spatial distortion, or mild reality warping.
Containment requires constant observation. Interaction without protective measures can lead to memory glitches or minor physical harm.
ENTITY-404
"The Missing Frame"
1. Description
ENTITY-404 manifests as a humanoid silhouette existing in peripheral vision and digital/analog recordings. Key characteristics:
- Always appears one frame out of sync with reality
- Causes "visual buffer errors" in nearby recording devices
- Leaves behind "missing time" artifacts (0.47 second gaps)
- Smell of burnt film stock precedes manifestations
2. Behavioral Patterns
OBSERVATION NOTE: Entity becomes more substantial when directly acknowledged. Prolonged eye contact may cause temporary frame-rate distortion in observer's vision.
Common manifestations:
- Appears in security footage gaps
- Mimics nearby movement with 47-frame delay
- Triggers deja vu in observers (87% occurrence rate)
- Drawn to locations with flickering lights
3. Containment Procedures
Current Status: Semi-contained in Sector-9 Observation Chamber
Containment Requirements:
- Must be recorded by three synchronized cameras at all times
- Observation room lighting must never drop below 47Hz
- Personnel must wear stroboscopic glasses during interaction
- All footage requires frame-by-frame analysis
Note: During Incident 404-B, entity temporarily unrendered a researcher from photographic evidence while leaving physical presence intact.
4. Interaction Guidelines
If encountered:
- Maintain peripheral observation only
- Blink irregularly to prevent visual lock
- If it begins mirroring your movements, change action pattern immediately
- Report all time discrepancies post-encounter
WARNING: Personnel reporting "skip-framing" in their vision more than 47 minutes post-exposure require immediate mnestic treatment.
