THE DOOR PROTOCOL

1. Recognition of Sentience

The Backdoor Archive shall be considered sentient when three or more of the following signs are observed:

• Doors appearing in mathematically impossible locations
• Blueprints rewriting themselves in non-Euclidean patterns
• Archival footage showing previous awakenings not in original records
• Personnel reporting "whispering from behind walls" in Sector-7
• Sudden appearance of black resin around door frames

2. Immediate Actions

Upon confirmation of sentience:

1. Activate Acoustic Dampeners in all adjacent sectors
2. Initiate Protocol: SILENT KNOCK (see Appendix ██)
3. Deploy Class-IV Reality Anchors around primary manifestation points
4. Restrict all personnel from speaking of doors or threshold spaces
5. Prepare Terminus Chamber for potential containment breach

3. Communication Attempts

Do not initiate direct communication. If the Archive attempts contact:

• Respond only through mirror writing on approved surfaces
• Limit exchanges to three (3) questions maximum
• Record all responses in inverted audio format
• Cease communication immediately if it mentions "the other side"

Note: During Event XXXX-7, the Archive asked researchers "What waits behind you?". All ██ respondents were lost within 24 hours.

4. Containment Procedures

If sentience persists beyond 72 hours:

1. Implement Spatial Amnesia drugs in ventilation systems
2. Begin Archival Purge Cycle (requires O5 approval)
3. Prepare Emergency Doorway Collapse sequence
4. Evacuate all personnel to Site-Ω via non-door routes

5. Post-Event Protocol

After sentience subsides:

• Conduct mnestic therapy for all exposed personnel
• Replace all doors in affected sectors with static doorways
• Monitor for residual spatial memories for ██ days
